FRIDAY 12/22/23 YOUNG & THE RESTLESS SPOILERS/RECAP: Devon Lets Tucker Have A Visit With Dominic, Michael & Lauren Decide to Renew Their Vows For Xmas!

 

On today's episode of The Young and the Restless, it's Christmas time in Genoa City, and the residents are celebrating the festive season.

Daniel, Heather, Danny, and Lucy gather around the Christmas tree in Daniel's new condo. They light the vintage lights, and Danny expresses how meaningful it is to have everyone together for the holidays. Lucy teases Danny about the vintage lights, making him feel a bit old.

Phyllis and Summer join the celebration, bringing Christmas kisses and gifts. Phyllis, loaded with packages, hands them to Danny, expressing her love for Christmas. Daniel and Summer exchange looks at Phyllis's enthusiasm.

The group enjoys homemade eggnog, and Phyllis compliments Daniel's cooking skills, suggesting he should cook for Lucy. They discuss the idea of a potluck Christmas with games like charades.

As they share what they're grateful for, Daniel appreciates having his family close, and Summer expresses gratitude for her mom being back among the living. Phyllis gets emotional, expressing her gratitude for being there and thanking her brilliant lawyer, likely referring to Christine.

Meanwhile, Lauren visits Christine at Society, delivering a package for Daniel. Christine reveals that there's something good happening between her and Daniel, sparking curiosity about their relationship status.

At the Athletic Club, Abby and Devon have dinner, discussing the excitement of Dominic's first Christmas. They talk about past Christmases and Devon's memories of Dru giving him money for baking supplies.

Devon updates Abby on Tucker and the cover-up situation, contemplating whether he should listen to Tucker's side of the story. Abby is unsure about what Devon hopes to achieve by hearing Tucker out.

Later, Tucker is in his room talking to a reporter about the situation, expressing frustration and disconnecting the call. The family continues singing Jingle Bells as Christine arrives at Daniel's condo.

Phyllis answers the door, and tension arises between Phyllis and Christine. Michael intervenes, trying to ease the situation. Phyllis and Christine exchange little digs at each other, both vying for Danny's attention.

The episode ends with Christine staying behind as everyone else leaves. She and Danny exchange gifts, and they share a romantic moment, reminiscing about their past. Christine gives Danny a silk robe once owned by Bryan Ferry, and Danny gives her a bracelet, leading to a passionate kiss.

At the Athletic Club, Tucker joins Devon and Abby for a conversation. He explains his side of the cover-up, expressing regret for how he handled the situation. Devon is not fully satisfied with Tucker's explanation but allows him to see Dominic during Christmas.

Meanwhile, Lauren visits Abby and Devon's table, wishing them happy holidays. Devon runs upstairs with a smile, and Tucker approaches their table. Abby kisses Tucker, and he talks about the situation with Devon.

Devon decides that he doesn't have time for Tucker's drama during the holidays. Upstairs, Lauren and Michael share an intimate moment in a hotel room, exchanging Christmas gifts. Michael proposes to Lauren for the second time, and she reciprocates, asking him to marry her. They share a romantic moment, sealing their commitment with kisses.

The episode concludes with Summer informing Phyllis that Nick can't make it due to a family matter. Phyllis heads to the lounge and encounters Tucker. He offers to buy her a drink, and she seems uneasy.

In the final moments of the episode, stars from The Young and the Restless wish viewers happy holidays.
